Even before diving into the design process the client expressed her dream of bringing Tuscany into her home. The style and the allure of the beautiful city inspired the rest of the design.
In order to get the old Tuscan look; the type of doors selected were finished in a heavy distress crackle with worm holes. Three colors in varying hues were chosen to highlight the furniture style . A copper apron sink with a beautiful engraved front adds an interesting detail to the space. The slate floor unifies the individual colors and textures into a perfect harmony. New architectural features, such as the brick wall niche bring depth and interest into the space.
The increased height of the cabinets and the new beams added to the ceiling were a welcome change to the space from the low bulkheads which had previously overcrowded it. The once cluttered and dull room became amplified and inviting.
The traditional Tuscan style was brought to life with an up to date design.
